WHAT’S “FEMOTE”?

Femote is a fem-tech startup breaking through the glass ceiling of intimate healthcare from the comfort of home.  
For 2025, Femote is looking to launch their at-home gynecological testing kits for intimate infections. From UTIs, yeast infections, & bacterial vaginosis, these resources pave way for vulva owners to get remote guidance on diagnosis, treatment, & prescriptions.

Overview
MY ROLEAs Femote’s Branding Design Intern, I collaborated closely with the two co-founders to standardize the visual elements of the brand identity through a breadth of packaging & digital marketing designs. 

THE OBJECTIVEI was tasked with spearheading the first packaging designs of 3 gynecological rapid tests, redesigning the landing page, & creating sticker designs.

NOTE: Work featured in finalist round of Miss Germany 2025 competition with Femote co-founder & contestant Jil Berning (22 Feb 2025).
















DID YOU KNOW THAT IN GERMANY...

An endometriosis diagnosis can take up to 8-10 years?
Not only do women living in Germany face long waiting times for a diagnosis, a wide gender health (data) gap & medical gaslighting all culminate in many to struggle with inaccessible healthcare systems— a frustration shared by women globally.

Femote is born out of the desire to create FEMALE & REMOTE care by developing a digital platform that mitigates these challenges by streamlining resources for intimate infections all accessible from the comfort of home.
















USING GENDERED COLORS & LANGUAGE ACTIVELY SHAPES WHO IS INCLUDED & EXCLUDED IN THE CONVERSATION SURROUNDING INTIMATE HEALTH.
By only using selective visual & linguistic cues to target a traditional female demographic, it can overlook people that own vulvas & experience vaginal intimate health but do not identify as female.
(For example, people that were assigned-female-at-birth, but identify as male.) 

As a result, Femote’s product launch aims to infuse their mission of inclusivity into its packaging design by utilizing a breadth of gradient hues and discreet, neutral language

Inclusivity should be intentional & it starts from the design of box one.

EMPOWERMENT AT THE FOREFRONT
In addition to designing at-home testing kit packaging, we designed sticker collateral to be used by Femote at networking & marketing events. Despite frustrations with the gender health gap that exists within the healthcare system, these sticker designs serve as a tangible reminder of the need for us to be united by systemic obstacles & empowered by our community
