Graphic Design Marketing Internship
 WHAT’S “ILOVECREATIVES”?  

 ilovecreatives is a design studio making design education accessible through edu-tainment.  
Combining education with entertainment, ilovecreatives functions as a digital trade school offering courses in graphic design, marketing, copywriting, & more. For Summer 2024, ilovecreatives was interested in launching a college spin-off of their most popular Graphic Design Course with the Graphic Design Course (GDC) College Program.

Overview
 MY ROLEMy role as a Marketing Design Intern involved supporting the Exec. Creative Director Puno, Creative Director Mindy Nguyen, and Art Director Sarah Sarazen with graphic design assistance on promotional marketing materials & completing social outreach to prospective students and panelists for the program.
THE OBJECTIVEAlongside researching & conducting email outreach to established designers to invite them to the program as weekly panelists, I was also tasked with updating the design of digital assets for the landing page according to the new branding guidelines. I was also responsible for designing Discord badges used for the program community server.


















 
Building Repertoire 

The GDC College Program was born out of the concern that the portfolios of university students weren’t hitting the mark in the current competitive job market. As a result, it was critical that the landing page communicated clearly that: 

The course instructors empathized with students as prior junior designers.

The program offered invaluable skills and resources that a traditional college education & free resources online can’t. 












Bridging 
“U” + “I” in our Community

As part of our initiative to provide students with resources, we sought to bridge the gap between junior designs from our program with working senior designs.

We invited 9 designers & 1 recruiter to weekly 1-hour panels on Discord & Google Meet to share their experiences as junior designers, insights when applying for full-time opportunities, & participating in our end-of-program portfolio critique.
